Patrick Prue's areas of practice are estate planning and asset protection, estate settlement and probate, Title XIX, corporate law, including business creation and protection & development, and both commercial and residential real estate. Patrick Prue is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and Western New England College School of Law.
Attorney Prue served as Judge of Probate for the District of Windham and Scotland from 1978 to 1999. He is admitted to the Connecticut Bar and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a member of the Windham County, Connecticut and American Bar Associations. He also served as the Town Assessor for the Town of Windham from 1974-1976.
Patrick Prue has served many clients in the firm as a result of his dedication to the communities in which he lives and works. He served as a member of the City of Willimantic Board of alderman from 1975-1977, Director of Windham Community Memorial Hospital from 1989-1999, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Windham Community Memorial Hospital from 1994-1997, and Corporator of Liberty Bank for Savings from 1986-1997. Attorney Prue is the President of Eastern Connecticut Amateur Baseball and the Director of the Windham Youth Organization. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Committee for the Norwich Navigators Professional Baseball Club.
Attorney Prue has lectured extensively throughout the State of Connecticut on estate planning, estate settlement and elder law issues. He has spoken on behalf of the Connecticut Bar Association, Connecticut Probate Assembly and the Connecticut Institute for Legal Education, LLC. He has also presented seminars on behalf of Connecticut businesses including the University of Connecticut, Eastern Connecticut State University, Connecticut Department of Revenue Services and Department of Social Services, Connecticut Association of Convalescent Homes and the Hartford Association of Paralegals, as well as other civic and financial institutions. He has been recognized by the Connecticut Court System as an expert in the areas of estate settlement and planning and has been called upon to testify in cases dealing with these topics. |
